Frequently Asked Questions

These trips are best suited to confident intermediate skiers and above. If you're comfortable skiing red runs and happy exploring some black terrain, you'll fit in well.

We spend full days on the mountain, moving around the resort and skiing a mix of terrain as we explore different areas. Because of that, a reasonable level of fitness helps — the aim is to enjoy long days skiing with a few well-timed stops to rest and refuel.

Off-piste skiing is completely optional. For those who want to explore beyond the marked runs, qualified local guides can be arranged in advance. Not everyone in the group chooses to ski off-piste, and plenty of people stay on piste for the entire trip and still get a huge amount out of the experience.

If you're unsure whether the trip is right for you, just get in touch.

No. Flights are not included, not arranged, and not provided by Clean Line Ski. You book your own flights to the relevant airport. We'll give you the resort, the dates, and airport options — the travel is your responsibility.

For Verbier, Geneva is the closest airport. For Val d'Isère, Geneva or Chambéry work well.

Yes — it's mandatory. You must have travel insurance in place that specifically covers skiing and off-piste skiing before your booking is confirmed. We'll ask for proof of cover before the trip departs.

If you need help finding appropriate ski insurance, we're happy to point you in the right direction — but the choice and purchase is yours.

Maximum six skiers per trip. That's a firm limit — not a soft one. The quality of guiding, terrain selection, and overall experience relies on keeping the group small. We won't increase group sizes to fill revenue gaps.

Every trip is led personally. You won't be handed to a third-party guide or someone you've never met. The person who answers your enquiry is the person on the hill with you all week.

Cancellation terms depend on how far in advance you cancel. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions. In short: deposits are non-refundable unless we cancel the trip; full payment is required within a certain window of departure.

If you're concerned about cancellation risk, this is exactly why we recommend comprehensive travel insurance — good ski policies include trip cancellation cover.

Typically we're on first lifts — that usually means 8am to 9am depending on the resort and conditions. We don't apologise for this. The best snow and the emptiest runs go to people who show up early. If leisurely mornings are important to you, this probably isn't the right trip.

Yes. Solo travellers are welcome and make up a good portion of our bookings. The group dynamic tends to work well — people who sign up for a trip like this share similar attitudes to skiing. If you want to know what the current group composition looks like before committing, just ask.

Start with an enquiry via the contact form. There's no payment at that stage — just tell us about your skiing and which trip you're interested in. We'll get back to you within 48 hours.

If it's a good fit, we'll confirm the details and ask for a deposit to hold your space. The remaining balance is due 8 weeks before departure.
